More than three decades ago, B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs began a journey that left popular culture surprised, stunned and eager for more. Named after a street in Los Angeles, Cypress Hill burst onto the scene in 1991 with the release of their self-titled debut album. The singles “How I Could Just Kill a Man” and “The Phuncky Feel One” became underground hits.

In 1993, they released Black Sunday, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200, was nominated for three GRAMMY® Awards, and was certified triple platinum in the U.S. Cypress Hill became the first rap group to have two albums in the Billboard top 10 simultaneously and the first Latin American hip-hop group to achieve platinum and multi-platinum success.

Throughout their career, Cypress Hill have released seven more albums, including the acclaimed Elephants on Acid in 2018. They made history again in 2019 when they received their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2021, they released the single “Champion Sound,” produced by Black Milk. That same year they celebrated the 30th anniversary of their debut album with a special reissue, including previously unreleased material and a graphic novel.

Cypress Hill hasn’t slowed down, “Being aggressive and moving forward has to be part of the plan, because you don’t get anywhere without that mentality,” says Sen Dog. “We’ve done it all, but because hip-hop is saturated, you have to keep your foot on the gas or you’ll be left behind. “We don’t want that.”

The legendary Colombian rap group Alcolirykoz will join Cypress Hill on stage at the Movistar Arena on February 6, 2025. Recognized for their raw and poetic lyricism, and their ability to connect with the realities of the street, Alcolirykoz will bring their style unique and powerful to a night that promises to be an unforgettable encounter between two rap leaders, uniting two generations that have marked musical culture in Latin America.
