Therefore, as a venue focused on promoting sustainability and environmental care, we seek new alternatives that not only generate great experiences for artists, employees, guests, and attendees but also serve as a sustainable medium that guarantees proper waste management and the efficient use of natural resources.

Technological Initiatives to Reduce Environmental Impact in Events

Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency

By adopting energy sources that allow for lower consumption and decrease our carbon footprint—such as the use of LED lighting, scheduled programming for external screen displays, motion-sensor-activated lighting, and low-consumption equipment—we have successfully reduced electrical energy consumption, making this event center an energy-efficient landmark in Bogotá.

Intelligent Waste Management at Concerts

Information regarding the correct separation of solid waste at the source is displayed on our arena’s commercial screens. In this way, attendees and visitors actively contribute to ensuring proper waste management. Additionally, before and after each show, an audio message is played to inform the public about the available "ecological points" for the disposal of waste generated during the event.

Digitalization and Paper Reduction

The environmental management department leads a joint project with the legal and document management teams focused on the transition from paper to digital environments. This initiative aims to reduce paper consumption through the use of digital tools and applications that facilitate the distribution of information, promoting a more dynamic and accessible interaction for all stakeholders.

Use of Digital Media for Payments and Entry

From the moment our attendees arrive, digital ticket scanning allows for quick and secure access to the event. Furthermore, we offer digital payment methods inside the venue, eliminating the need to print tickets and other materials. This transition not only improves operational efficiency but also contributes to sustainability by reducing paper usage.

Sustainable Mobility and Public Transportation

For every massive event in Bogotá, we guarantee sustainable urban planning that offers efficient alternatives for using public transportation, including the implementation of electric vehicles with strategically located charging points. These actions promote a sustainable mobility model that not only reduces traffic congestion but also improves urban air quality, contributing to a healthier and more accessible environment for all attendees.

Efficient Mechanical Cleaning

Thanks to new cleaning tools and technologies applied within the venue, we have managed to reduce space reconditioning time by up to 80%, guaranteeing an optimal cleaning and disinfection process. These tools have not only allowed us to reduce cleaning times; they have also enabled our cleaning staff to apply new techniques with less physical effort, always prioritizing their well-being and the conservation of natural resources.

The integration of these technologies not only improves the environmental efficiency of large-scale events but also offers economic and social benefits by promoting more efficient resource management and reducing operational costs, fostering a culture of sustainability among everyone who is part of the Heart of Bogotá.
