IL DIVO returns to Colombia with their “By Candlelight” Tour

The iconic vocal quartet returns to Latin America in 2025 with an intimate, emotional and elegant show.

Colombia will be part of the tour with a single date on Sunday, September 21 at the Movistar Arena, consolidating the group’s strong bond with the Colombian public.

The “Il Divo By Candlelight” world tour has confirmed dates in Europe, Latin America and the United States.

With more than 30 million albums sold and 50 international No. 1 albums, Il Divo is one of the most successful vocal groups in the world.

Colombia, 2025 – After more than two decades thrilling the world with its unmistakable fusion of opera and contemporary music, Il Divo announces its highly anticipated Il Divo By Candlelight world tour, with confirmed dates in Latin America, including its sixth visit to Colombia, where the group has built a loyal and passionate fan base. The date in Bogota will be Sunday, September 21 at the Movistar Arena in the city of Bogota.

Il Divo By Candlelight will take the audience on a journey through two decades of romance, heartbreak and joy, intertwining their greatest musical triumphs in an unforgettable evening.

“Our voices remain true to who we are, but our approach has evolved, capturing a broad emotional spectrum, whether they have been with us for 20 years, five years or just a few hours, we want them to be moved by the music,” said tenor Urs Bühler.

Currently formed by Urs Bühler (tenor, Switzerland), Sébastien Izambard (tenor, France), David Miller (tenor, USA) and Steven LaBrie (baritone, USA), Il Divo has sold more than 30 million albums and has achieved 50 #1 hits in international rankings. Since their debut in 2004, they have redefined the classical crossover genre, captivating millions of people with their vocal quality and emotive interpretations.

After the emotional loss of co-founder Carlos Marin in 2021, Il Divo began a new phase marked by tributes, reinvention and an even deeper connection with their audience. In 2023 they released XX: 20th Anniversary Album, their first independent work and the first with Steven LaBrie as an official member. Recorded in Coconut Grove, Florida, the album represents the group’s artistic evolution, fusing vocal tradition with new sounds and contemporary emotions.

Now, with Il Divo By Candlelight, the group proposes a more intimate stage experience, designed to bring audiences closer to the essence of their music. “We want to perform in theaters where fans feel part of the show,” says David Miller. “We have created an elegant and emotional show, where the music is the real protagonist,” adds Steven LaBrie.

The tour will tour Europe in the summer of 2025 and will reach Latin America in the fall, with dates confirmed in several countries, including Colombia. This tour promises to be even more emotional, as part of a show that covers two decades of greatest hits, stories of love, heartbreak and hope.

In the United States, the tour will feature the string trio Simply Three, who will also open some of the shows. For Latin America, a staging adapted to the most emblematic theaters in the region is expected, with a production that seeks to highlight the direct connection between Il Divo and his audience.
