Once again, the Movistar Arena was named by the international magazine Pollstar as the #1 stage in the world in the category of venues with capacity between 10,000 and 15,000 people, being the only Latin American venue to appear in this global list.
The recent recognition acknowledges the role of Movistar Arena as a world reference in music and entertainment within the region.
The arena has managed to occupy the top 3 of these monthly listings repeatedly, since 2022, competing with important venues worldwide and becoming a benchmark of experiences and quality in its programming.
Additionally, this year the Movistar Arena received its second nomination for International Venue of the Year, competing with outstanding global venues such as the O2 in London, Scotiabank Arena in Canada, Movistar Arena Spain and the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
The recognition is based on its ability to attract both national audiences and international fans, positioning Bogota as an essential point in the routes of major tours.
“We are proud to position Colombia’s entertainment in the eyes of the world, to connect Bogota with major international tours and to be a platform that encourages local artists to perform on top-level stages,” said Luigi Quintero, general manager of the Movistar Arena.
Since the opening of this venue in 2018, in Colombia there has been a 75% increase in international tours, in addition, the venue has managed to capture 71% of the shows that take place in the capital with capacities between 4,000 and 20,000 people.
For this 2025, “the heart of Bogota” projects to host 130 shows and receive more than 900,000 attendees; 32 % more than in 2024.
