Under our sustainability approach at Movistar Arena, we work collaboratively with stakeholders to minimize environmental impacts. One of the biggest challenges is reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Faced with rising temperatures and the intensification of climate events, our main goal is to achieve carbon neutrality, which means balancing greenhouse gas emissions with actions that eliminate or offset them.
Sustainable Mobility and Electric Vehicle Charging Points
As part of our strategies to reduce emissions and promote sustainable practices, we encourage the use of sustainable transportation. Among these, we highlight the use of electric vehicles, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by between 40% and 70%, thus contributing to improved air quality.
To facilitate this transition, we provide attendees, guests, artists, and visitors with six electric vehicle charging points within our facilities, allowing them to enjoy the show while their vehicle recharges.
Reforestation and Ecosystem Restoration
Part of our environmental commitment also involves developing and implementing strategies that can be adopted by everyone who visits our venue, making them active participants in the change. Within this framework, the Movistar Arena Forest, a reforestation and tree development area in Guasca, Cundinamarca, began construction in July 2024. During 2025, approximately 7,000 native species were planted, and a growing area for 500 trees was established.
Likewise, starting in March 2025, we began the process of collecting and germinating red mangrove seedlings at the Unú Beach Flora and Fauna Sanctuary in Palomino, La Guajira. This year, we have planted approximately 5,000 trees and established a growing area for 500 more.
100% Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency
Similarly, we utilize renewable energy, contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions associated with the facility's operation. We continue working towards energy sustainability, operating with 100% renewable energy, and employing an LED lighting system throughout our facilities. We also utilize motion sensors to reduce energy consumption in areas where it is not needed, working closely with contractors, suppliers, employees, and other stakeholders to promote best practices for the responsible use and conservation of this resource.
