Movistar Arena completed five years of operating in Bogota. According to company figures, since its opening in 2018, this entertainment complex has contributed more than $445,000 million a year to the country’s economy. In addition, it has received more than 4 million visitors.

Regarding the artists who have performed on this stage, it is noteworthy that since 2018, the average international participation has been 63%. For its part, the popularity and reception of national artists increased by 13% from 2018 to 2022, with an average participation of 41% in the total number of shows performed in this arena.

“We have been focused for five years on creating the best experiences, on positioning a brand that not only makes Colombians feel proud, but that they can say with security and certainty that it is a place that they live in a different way every time they come to an event,” said Luis Guillermo Quintero, general manager of Movistar Arena.

Since 2019, the entertainment sector increased its contribution to Bogota’s GDP to 6%. At the national level, the sector evidenced a double-digit growth in the national economy (except for the pandemic period), which reflected a steady increase in the consumption of this item and in the behavior of the audience. The top 10 event collections in 2022 were double the figure for 2019. Five of these 10 events were held at the Movistar Arena.
