Bogotá, April 2026. Movistar Arena, established as the entertainment epicenter of the capital, presents the strategic balance of its operations during the first part of the year, highlighting its ability to boost the local economy and strengthen the regional live entertainment circuit. This performance was recently recognized by the District Tourism Institute (IDT), which acknowledged the venue for its contribution to the city’s cultural and economic ecosystem.
“This semester, we have achieved key operational milestones that demonstrate the strength of our industry. Reaching 16 sold-out dates and projecting attendance of more than half a million people reflects Bogotá’s remarkable momentum as a destination for major live events. This success is the result of collaborative work with promoters and partners to deliver world-class experiences, positioning the heart of Bogotá as the meeting point where music and culture drive the city’s development,” said Luis Guillermo Quintero, General Manager of Movistar Arena.
Operational results and projections
By the end of June, the Arena expects to reach a total of 48 events. To date, audience response has been overwhelming, with 16 sold-out events, and attendance for the year is projected to surpass 500,000 people enjoying the venue’s programming.
The impact is reflected in a diverse lineup that combines both local talent and major global tours:
International artists: 39 performances.
National artists: 9 performances.
Diversity of genres and cultural consumption
The 2026 schedule shows a strong preference for Hispanic music, with programming distributed as follows: Latin Pop: 77%, Spanish Rock: 38%, Urban Music: 12%.
This level of activity not only enriches the cultural agenda, but also strengthens the sector’s value chain by generating direct and indirect jobs and benefiting industries such as hospitality, transportation, and gastronomy in Bogotá.
