Movistar Arena Officially Consolidates Its Position as Colombia’s Leading Cultural Epicenter in 2026

Bogotá, May 2026. In a move that is transforming the entertainment landscape in the country, the District Secretariat of Government has issued Resolution GJR-664 of 2026, officially authorizing Movistar Arena as a permanent cultural venue for the performing arts. This recognition is more than just a title — it is the key that opens a new era of agility and versatility for the venue already beating as the true Heart of Bogotá.

Thanks to this new status, the arena will be able to offer strategic benefits that directly impact the quality and quantity of shows available to audiences in the capital. Among the advantages are the ability to make format changes up to 10 days before a show, access to 34 different venue configurations, and the elimination of individual payments for PMT (Traffic Management Plan) reviews per event, dramatically reducing operational barriers for promoters.

A lineup already making history

The authorization comes backed by a strong schedule that already includes 52 events managed under this new recognition model. The diversity of the lineup reflects the venue’s commitment to all audiences: from the rock sounds of Helloween and The Mills, to international pop acts like 5 Seconds of Summer and Aitana, as well as national celebrations featuring multiple dates by Vives and the Tropipop Festival.

The process received favorable evaluations from key entities such as the Teusaquillo Local Mayor’s Office, IDIGER, the Official Fire Department, and the Health Secretariat, ensuring that every applause inside Movistar Arena takes place under the highest standards of safety and well-being for attendees.
